KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FL - Seven years ago today, space shuttle Atlantis roared skyward from Kennedy Space Center on a 12 day mission that delivered the last science module to be added to the International Space Station, the U.S. Destiny module. Today, Atlantis once again blasted away from Earth carrying another science laboratory to the orbiting outpost. This time, the payload was the cornerstone of Europe's contribution to the station, the long-awaited Columbus research laboratory.
